Theme Song from The Courtship of Eddie's Father

Perpetrator: Harry Nilsson (lyrics and vocals) and George Aliceson Tipton (music)
Highest Chart Position: n/a
Sap Elements: Cuteness, hyperbole

The version I've heard is only 58 seconds long, so it might not be complete. The song bops along with a nice upbeat rhythm, with the trombone & trumpet doing their part. Its major drawback is its cuteness factor, which pegs the sap meter. Maybe adults and young children can be best friends, but that could make adolescence a particularly difficult experience. Good luck, kid. You'll need it, with an oversentimentalizing father like that.

How can it be that the same guy who gave us 70s light-rock classics like "Everybody's Talkin' at Me" and "Coconut" is the guy who sings "Yah! Ba-da-da-da! Yah! Ba-da-da-da!" on this vomitrocious TV theme? Where's denial when I need it?
